Since April 2002, we have created professional training programs that enhance occupational skills. Our courses are designed and consistently updated along the current market trends. By combining theory and practical training, EDGE COLLEGE OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES provides a high standard of professional training.

About our Hair Styling Diploma Course

Edge College of Vocational studies’ Hair Styling Diploma Course is a program to help youngsters start a career in a field they love. It offers a unique opportunity and also a chance to learn from some of the best stylists and instructors in the area. As a hairstylist, opportunities in professional life are endless; there are different forms of career one can choose. From starting a business and developing a brand to even becoming one of the most highly acclaimed stylists in the country and beyond. Choosing a career as a hairstylist is different yet exciting like which has no limits.

About our Aesthetics Diploma Program

This course is offered on a full-time (8 months) basis. The course consists of 1020 hours. There are no large classes and each student receives expert and personal attention. Here, all the latest scientific methods and apparatus are thoroughly studied. Students will be exposed to the most relevant and modern aspects of Aesthetics. Students will be given the knowledge required to undertake a career in Aesthetics and start their own business in the Aesthetics field. Students will also learn the importance of the professional ethics.

About our Electrolysis Diploma Program

This 320 hour diploma program provides the student with skills in all areas of Electrolysis. These include methods of hair removal, bacteriology, electricity and client consultation. Electrolysis is one of the permanent hair removal methods. The students will learn the proper insertion techniques and be able to analyze different hair growth types.

In order to ensure that a student’s requests are addressed with priority, please submit your application fee prior to requesting additional information regarding courses, programs, and/or visas. Due to the high volume of requests, only genuine inquiries which accompany a completed online application, including application fee, will be processed.

  • Documents are assessed by the academic advisor. Upon positive assessment, you will receive a letter of acceptance within 48 hours.
  • Submit your letter of acceptance along with your visa application form to the nearest Canadian Embassy/High Commission of Consulate to apply for your study permit.

Note: You can request for a letter of acceptance with a deferred date of commencement if the visa processing is delayed. Contact the admission coordinators for more information.

Upon being granted the study permit/visa, you must email a copy to EDGE COLLEGE OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES International Student Center at: info@edgecollege.ca

Note: EDGE COLLEGE OF VOCATIONAL STUDIES is required to inform Immigration and citizenship Canada of your change in status if you withdraw, cease to attend class, defer your admission, or become a part-time student.

You can also request a settlement service for a small fee which includes:

  • Airport pickup
  • Arranging accommodation
  • Assistance in application for your Social Insurance Number (SIN) – a SIN enables you to legally work in Canada during your study term.
  • Assistance in opening a bank account
  • Media services (introducing you to the Canadian media outlets, alongside the internet and cell phone providers)
  • Neighborhood support services (community programs, places of worship, and social events)
  • All related services to help you settle into the Canadian culture

Local Transportation

We are located in South Brampton, located centrally between the Bramalea Go Station, and Shoppers World Bus Terminal. We are in the North East corner of Steeles Avenue and Rutherford Road South. Quick access to the 410 will allow you to get to Pearson International Airport in 30 minutes.

The Brampton Transit stop is just outside our door, being on the corner of Steeles Ave. and Rutherford Rd S. If you are driving, you can find plenty of free parking spots surrounding the building.
